According to statistics, only 1% of those caught in trafficking get out. But isn't wonderful that we serve a God who isn't troubled by stats but can do the impossible?

In the midst of flooding you with statistics and information on sex trafficking, I wanted to stop and take a moment to tell you of hope in the midst of such evil.

Recently, Children's Hope Chest took a trip to India to further look into and work along side organizations that are fighting trafficking there. In the midst of their stay, there was a rescue that saved 5 minor boys from child labor.

Here is their brief story...

PRIASE GOD! RESCUED 5 MINOR BOYS FROM CHILD LABOR

Indian Rescue Mission today (June 9,2010) rescued 5 minor boys from Child labor at Bijapur district, Karnataka State.

The team met with the Superintendent of Police and requested for action. He instructed his staff to go for the raid. Then we met with the Labor Officer and Government doctor and asked them to go along with us on raid.

So finally between 16:30 to 18:00 hrs the raids were done on hotels and bars and rescued 5 minor boys.

The medical examination of the boys were done and they all turned to be minor. So now they are placed in the government home.

It can be overwhelming when we look at the evil in the world and it appears too large to make any difference. But be encouraged that lives are being saved. And it is through educating other of such a need that spurs on prayers. May we be faithful to be a voice to the voiceless and PRAY!
