In Revelations 3:14, Jesus is called 'The Amen.'

Matthew Henry's Commentary describes it this way, "The Amen, one that is steady and unchangeable in all his purposes and promises" (p. 1974).

"For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory" (2 Cor. 1:20).

"For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure" (Phil. 3:12).

God is at work in me.

When I can't see the goodness in this season or when the promises of the Word seem impossible. When I question whether God desires to give good gifts to me (Ps. 84:11), do I remember that Jesus is 'the Amen'?

"Bring your poor, broken, and bruised heart to Him. He will say "Amen" to you, and it will be as true in your soul as in hundreds in cases in years past. There is not a word which has gone out of the Savior's lips which He has ever retracted" (Morning and Evening, p. 223).

Today, let us remind our souls, though we walk in the darkness and have no light, that YET we CAN trust in the NAME of the Lord (Is. 50:10). He is our Amen!
